SOUL OVER the CITY" w/ DJ Bo ~ Deep Cuts and Rare Grooves on Vinyl ~ FREE ~ 10:00pm - 2:00am
Empty Homes Tax Fundraiser- Raffle! Silent Auction! Live music ~ $10 ~ 6:00pm - 9:30pm
We wanted to invite you to our big fun FUNdraiser Happy Hour party for the Empty Homes Tax on Wednesday March 30th from 6-9 at the Make Out Room!
We've got two live music groups lined up, The Barneys and Afterthought with the Top Chefs.
Later we'll have DJ Kurt playing a mix of highly danceable classics, plus speakers, drinks, all in the name of making San Francisco more affordable by opening up some of the 40,000 vacant homes in our city.
We are also hosting one HELL of a raffle, with tickets available at the door. We’ve got awesome art, gift certificates to the likes of Zuni, Bar Part Time, the Booksmith and No Shop vintage, Mixology classes, rare vintage rock tees, … plus a Signature Captain hat, usually only attainable from gathering HUNDREDS of signatures for our petition drive, which one lucky winner can attain without lifting a pen at our raffle. And so much MORE.

We are so excited that SF-based printmaker Jocelyn Lee has donated two prints to our art auction! These prints are a striking encapsulation of what the housing market has done to San Francisco's neighborhoods: put housing far out of reach of most poor and working people. Here is "My family used to live there" (2021) and "you never made nice with the locals" (2021) |
