A special tribute to the Specials and 2 Tone Ska. Specials drummer John Bradbury recently died Dec 28th "Brad's drumming was the powerhouse behind The Specials and it was seen as a key part to the Two Tone sound" His untimely passing comes three months after the band's most distinguished ska trombonist, Rico Rodriguez (Skatalites), died. We will do our best to pay our respects and celebrate the Specials and the 2 Tone sound! ~ Madness, English Beat, Selector, Bad Manners and The Body Snatchers ~ (along with our usual array of groove, wave, synth pop, goth, and other underground club favorites) ~ DJ 2shy-shy & DJ melt w/U FREE! 9:00 pm PS ~ It's with heavy hearts that we announce we'll also be paying tribute to David Bowie (but not Lemmy, - FOR GOD'S SAKE! - that would be a little ridiculous, don't you think?) |
