| Sofie Mae As a young woman, Sofie Mae left to travel across the United States, by way of thumb or freight train, playing music wherever her feet carried her. Soon, music carried her to the alluring City of New Orleans. This city inspired her to dedicate her life to her musicianship and she then spent years traveling around the country, making a living as a street musician.
