 Wow!! What a night! Misisipi Mike Wolf and Matt Lundquist (Otto Mobile) present the Third Annual Waylon Jennings Birthday Tribute featuring Mike Anderson, Dave Zirbel, Kyle Caprista and special guest Paula Frazer. We will be performing a small handful of the many great songs of Waylon Jennings. It has kicked ass the last two years, and it shall again this year!  BUT WAIT! THERE IS MORE!!! Tracey Holland and Chris Tye are best known for their beautiful band, Vandella. But I have long argued that their talents are far to wonderful to be tied down to just one band. I am happy that they have teamed up for a side project, the Gram Parsons Hand Traverse. We are all in for a treat as Tracy and Chris sing some of the music that inspired so many of us. Tom Armstrong has been known as one of the finest "classic" country songwriters anywhere since he first burst on the scene with his record "Tom Armstrong Sings Heartsongs". Since then has released two more certified classic albums of original music. What can I say? He long has been a Bay Area musical treasure, but sadly he is moving to Portland. This will be his last local gig for a while, so come out and say "so long, for now". His band features one of the finest country bass players in California, Glen Earl Brown Jr and the previously mentioned Dave Zirbel.  |
