Wing Dam, a trio who’ve been melting hearts and faces since 2013’s Thick Phase/No Splash, have unveiled the first single from their sophomore LP, Shifter Bliss. On “Software,” the band is completely unhinged. The result is staggering. With an assist from Mobtown Studios’ Mat Leffler-Schulman, we’re treated to just over 1:30 of heavy fuzz-pop. Even while ripping away, the band is cognizant of when to pull back, allowing the delicate vocals of Austin Tally and Sara Autrey to come through peacefully.
