20 years after its debut, Fisherman’s Famous San Francisco Burlesque returns to the stage with an all-star cast of strippers, singers, dancers, comedy and circus acts!
Rounding out the bill is a mix of local and touring talent including several veterans of Fisherman’s legendary North Beach shows of the late ‘90s:
• Rosie 151 brings her New York sass, style, and raw sensuality all the way to our Barbary Coast for this one-night only special event!
Rosie 151 has been performing all her life, acting, singing, and dancing. She has a BFA in theater with years of professional performing experience. The hot and intoxicating Rosie 151 has been a regular on the NYC burlesque scene for over 10 years. While in New York City she was a resident performer in The Floating Kabarette at Galapagos Art Space, The Rum House and The Jazz Room at the General where she sang with the Red Hook Ramblers. She is honored to have graced the stages of The Slipper Room, historical Coney Island, Le Poisson Rouge, The Highline Ballroom, Brooklyn Bowl, The Bowery Poetry Club, Nurse Bettie, Hotel Chantelle, Macao Trading Co, Employees Only, Cafe Tallulah and many others. She has performed in the Second annual New Orleans Burlesque Festival and six times in the New York Burlesque festival.
· Kitty Chow, the Hawaiian Hottie strums her Ukulele and shakes her hips with the lush sensuality of an island paradise!
Kitty Chow, born in Hawaii, moved to Vancouver where she discovered Burlesque and worked with Fluff Girl. She moved to San Francisco and joined Fisherman’s Famous San Francisco Burlesque. Her ability to beautifully sing and jazz songs, accompanying herself expertly on the Ukulele, AND spice her numbers with scintillating classic striptease, place Kitty in an elite echelon of the Burlesque firmament.
· Roky Roulette is a ripped Popo-stick superhero with the energy of a wild animal- think Tigger with a six-pack!
Bunny Pistol was born with a fierce appetite for the stage. She has grown to devour burlesque and has blown away audiences throughout the world. She has been twirling tassels since 2007 and has captivated audiences all over the USA and Europe. She was a finalist for the Miss Viva Las Vegas Competition in 2008. This International Burlesque Star has performed in other major shows such as The London Burlesque Festival, Paris Burlesque Festival, The Burlesque Hall of Fame, and Tease O’ Rama.
· MC Mad V. Dog is our joke slinger- he will make you laugh AND cry with his classic Borscht Belt one liners and give you a chance to cool down between acts….
Mad V. Dog is San Francisco’s favorite burlesque emcee. He has left them rolling in the aisles and begging him to stop from San Francisco to New Orleans to Hollywood to Helendale and back. “I have great respect for old jokes,” quips the 39 year old punster, “Old jokes are not to be laughed at!”
· And the Go Going Gone Girls are the shimmy-ing, shaking, hostesses with the mostesses, back in the spotlight from the early days!
The Go-Going-Gone Girls are a live act, a sensory experience that defies auditory limits. Oh sure, they sound, but the G4s are holistic practitioners on pink pedestals, transcending form and fashion, time and technology.
More on the performers
All accompanied by Fisherman’s Burlesque Orchestra, featuring Brian “Fisherman” himself on drums and xylophone and many of the sidemen from the original lineup: Ward Abronsky (Polkacide), Andy DeGiovanni and Paul Bergman (Mingo 2000), Kurt Stevenson (Hapa Haole Boys), and Nick Rous (ACME Swing Co.). This band is what has really set Fisherman’s show apart over the years- in a modern era when 99.9% of all strip tease is performed to the bland predictability of pre-recorded tracks, at Fisherman’s Burlesque you get the raw energy, excitement and improvised interaction that makes it all LIVE! ~ Enjoy the show! ~
