Its that time of year again...time for the 6th Annual Sad Bastard Club benefit for the SF Tenants Union. The Tenants Union is vital resource for the folks who pay rent in San Francisco. They are an all volunteer organization that helps tenants stay in their homes, as "market forces" try and get them out. Come on down and help us raise some money for them. We have a great line-up this year with Patrick Winningham, Dan Vickrey and Kurt Stevenson. Patrick and Kurt are returning Sad Bastards, and this will be Dan's 1st time out. All three folks are powerful singer songwriters and players with long histories in the SF music community. Kurt is a multi instrumentalist who has played with The Old Joe Clarks, Jesse DeNatale, and many others. You may know Dan from his day job as lead guitarist in The Counting Crows, and Patrick has been plying his trade leading his own band in the bay area for more than 30 years, and fronts The Tender Mercies which coincidentally, features Dan and Kurt. The Sad Bastard Club is free every month of the year except for December...this one cost a mere $10, so if you break it down and you are a regular, that means that it costs about 85 cents a show for the the year, which is a bargain no matter how you slice it. In the spirit of the the season bring a friend to see some great music and give to a great cause!!
