Tis the season to give a damn, and what better organization to give to than the SFTU, who tirelessly provide help to tenants besieged by rampant speculation and the the subsequent evictions that seem to have become part of the fabric of the boomtown mentality that has taken over our fair city. For those of you who don’t know, The Sad Bastard Club is a once-a-month singer-songwriter event at The Makeout Room, where the folks on the bill sing two short sets each. It starts early, and ends early, and is followed by great Honky-Tonk DJs . The night is usually free, but for this special, seasonal benefit, there is a suggested donation of $10. Come on down and hear some great music, and go home feeling good about giving back to the community!! There is no better way to spend a Monday night, I can practically guarantee it. |
