Michael Warr is author of The Armageddon of Funk, We Are All The Black Boy, and co-editor of Power Lines: A Decade of Poetry From Chicago’s Guild Complex, all from Tia Chucha Press. His literary awards include the Gwendolyn Brooks Significant Illinois Poets Award, a National Endowment of the Arts Creative Writing Fellowship, and most recently
the 2012 PEN Oakland Josephine Miles Award for Excellence in Literature, and 2012 Poetry Honor Award from the Black Caucus of the
American Library Association.

Mũthoni Kiarie grew up in Nairobi, Kenya. She earned her MFA from Mills College and is an alumna of the Voices of Our Nations Arts
Foundation. Her novel The Sacred Ibis was honored by the the Joseph Henry Jackson, James D. Phelan, and Mary Tanenbaum Literary Awards.

Kelli Stanley is a critically-acclaimed, multiple award-winning author of crime fiction (novels and short stories).  She makes her home in
Dashiell Hammett’s San Francisco, a city she loves to write about. Kelli is best known for the Miranda Corbie series of historical noir novels and short stories set in 1940 San Francisco. CITY OF DRAGONS won the Macavity Award for Best Historical Novel, and was nominated for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize, a Shamus Award, a Bruce Alexander Award and an RT Book Reviews Award, was a Mystery Guild
selection of the month, and placed on many “best of the year” lists.
