A One Night Stand Story Telling Series ~ real people sharing real stories about horrifying one night stands, awkward hookups, & regrettable romps ~ $15 adv. / $20 door ~ 7:00pm doors / 8:00pm showtime! ~ 7:00pm - 9:30pm Following the highly acclaimed album “Dream Violence” (2021) and the recent LP re-issue of his modern underground classic ‘Gravity/ Repulsion’, Michael Beach has announced a new self-titled 12”/ EP, to be released Sep 30 via Goner & Poison City Records. “Out in a Burning Alley,” the EP’s lead single, combines Beach’s soulful abstracted lyrics over two minutes and fifty eight seconds of blazing garage-rock, where the sounds of the Melbourne and Oakland/Bay Area underground collide. The track is accompanied by a video from Melbourne director Alex Millen who has recently worked with Melbourne’s EXEX and Modal Melodies. "Out in a Burning Alley" official video In support of the upcoming EP and recent “Dream Violence” album, Beach will be returning to tour the US in September/ October, headlining dates on the East & West coast and performing at the iconic Gonerfest in Memphis, TN. The touring outfit will also feature Beach’s long time collaborator Utrillo Kushner (Comets On Fire/ Personal and The Pizzas) on drums. "Michael Beach’s Dream Violence unfolds like a revelation, filled with sonic tumbleweeds that reference Neil Young’s On the Beach, Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska, the Velvet Underground’s Loaded, and the Go Betweens’ Before Hollywood. Influences ranging from the enigmatic outlier Megira to Glenn Branca to the Oblivians are combined to create a new, exhilarating sound." "Galore’s self titled debut album is a breath of fresh air. The album was released in June, on Rocks In Your Head Records and produced by Sonny Smith of Sonny & The Sunsets. The San Francisco indie-pop band showcases a 90s D.I.Y. aesthetic unique to the west coast —churning along with a breezy sensibility." - Post Trash BFF.FM resident DJs - FREE - 9:30pm - 2:00am BFF.FM presents
